Description
In 1986, two musical movies came out. One was Little Shop of Horrors, the other was An American Tail.
Little Shop of Horrors was based off of the 1982 musical of the same name, which was based off of a Roger Corman movie from 1960. It was about an awkward florist by the name of Seymour Krelborn, who breeds a strange and interesting plant named after his crush that feeds on blood.
An American Tail was Don Bluth's 2nd feature film and first in collaboration with Steven Spielberg. It was about a family of mice heading to America after the Cossacks and their cats burn down their village, but only hours away from their destination, Fievel, one of their kids, get separated by a huge storm that luckily washes him onto the shore of where he and his family were going.
These two movies are my favorite from that year, and to commemorate the anniversary, I drew Seymour with Fievel on his head, since they're both protagonists in their respective stories.
