MLP Scorecard 3

What I think of each episode of MLP's third season. Third verse, similar to the last two. Only 5 episodes out of 13 had a positive impact on me.

TOP 3 EPISODES
3. Too Many Pinkie Pies - I usually find Pinkie Pie episodes a real treat, and this is one of them. Not only is this a very funny episode, but it gives Pinkie some depth as her clones run amok.
2. Magical Mystery Cure - When this first aired, a lot of Bronies and Pegasisters had a severe case of cognitive dissonance toward the pacing, the song placements, and especially Twilight Sparkle's metamorphosis into an Alicorn princess. Personally, I'm more forgiving because Twilight's metamorphosis made sense if you think about it. What do I mean? She performed an unfinished, complicated spell that made her friends miserable, and ends up fixing what the spell broke, and this metamorphosis was pretty much a "reward" for doing an impossible task. You know what I mean...
1. Sleepless in Ponyville - Wow, this was a wonderful episode! It centers around Scootaloo, which we don't get often, as she, her friends, their sisters and Rainbow Dash go on a camping trip. The tiny orange Pegasus yearns to look confident around Rainbow despite being scared of the forest at night. The berry on top of the sundae is Princess Luna revealing that she can enter the dreams of other ponies and helps Scootaloo face her fears. Truly an awesome, emotional story.
Honorable Mention: Magic Duel - Another awesome episode. It was satisfying to see Twilight give Trixie a taste of her own medicine after the latter cheated in their first duel.

BOTTOM 3 EPISODES
3. One Bad Apple - The bottom 3 episodes in this season aren't as bad as 5 of the other bottom episodes, but they still have flaws. While Babs Seed was slightly complex and the song was catchy, the implication that getting back at a bully would make you a bully is...
2. Keep Calm and Flutter On - What it's about is good, but how it's about is disappointing. Literally, 20 minutes has Discord trolling everyone while Fluttershy tries to deal with his antics, and the last 3 minutes has Discord having an abrupt change of heart. Character development doesn't work that way. Why didn't the episode foreshadow Discord developing platonic feelings towards Fluttershy in one or two scenes? I don't care how subtle it would been, but it would have made the episode work better.
1. Spike At Your Service - Not only does it have Spike act gross by apparently not washing his feet (in MLP, really?), but any competence he has gets chucked out the window after Applejack saves his life. Why?
